While looking back, I think of this…
and cannot understand
How strange the fact, that something owned by someone grand,
a china cup, so delicate, and brought here from another land,
blue and dainty in my hand,
would last beyond the grave...intact
Although my dear, enchanting friend,
more fragile than a tiny cup,...
her life would have to end
~
A river of blue
washed over my morning's mood...
Sorting through her things
carefully wrapped in tissue,
I found her blue-willow cup
