Bloom
Bloom
By Kevin Robey

Maybe you can see its misery that drowns me in the sea
With every blooming seed that hears my screams at night
The tidal waves of nightmares free to finally crash
In between my teeth, slowly grinding into ash
Consequences unforeseen blinding me
Can’t trust my instincts when I cannot see
Won’t mangle discomfort into searing pain
Can’t let these circumstances drive me insane
What am I speaking of, did I say that much?
The ghosts of the memories I cannot touch
Sorry for the vague conspiracies I may leak
My truths don’t reveal, they hardly even speak
I’ll show you the key, I’ll show you just how
To read these cryptic words as they will allow
Its all that I want to hide in plain sight
You’ll see on my terms what haunts me at night
Don’t let this correlate to hate, you can’t relate
Just lean in and listen, it isn’t too late
I’ll tell you a story about a boy once so bright
Never thought the way he felt could ever be right
Terror that I cannot see waiting for me
Every raging sea in reoccurring dreams
Coming into bloom the reason for these times
Opening to me, these brighter thoughts of mine
