Blink
I turned my head and blinked
And another year passed away
Im closing in on my extinction
With every passing day
I wonder if my life counted for something
Or will the mark i leave be just a stain
Will there be any reason in the future
For people to speak my name
Will my legacy somehow have meaning
To the children i leave behind
Will they look back and smile on me
Or will i be forgotten over time
Perhaps i was a poor role model
Perhaps i could have been a better man
I just pray when my children think of me
They know i did the best i can.
