Blend

My heart was willingly drawn to you
That day you finally gave your love to me
I felt great joy and promise in the heart
Feelings that travel deep into the soul
From that first day
All through to today.

It was not just the words you said
Which opened the petals of my budding heart
But also the companionship I got to find
When each day good thoughts of you flowed like rivers
Filling the love reservoir in my heart
That flows on and on even today.

For a time it came to me
That I had found a companion
To partner me in the remaining days of my life
With natures sunshine, moon and the stars
My ways and days got illuminated
Revealing a promising tomorrow.

Even the eye in the sky
Keeps watch of the unfolding days and times
And the winds speak as they breeze
Whispering to the distances of love they have discovered
Shared by me and you
A message of love both true and strong.

Never will I hold back the wind in my lips
For I know the words will never be wrong
Like a fire in the night
Warmth caresses the heart
Taking away fears chilled and cold
The reason I make your smile.

I will say I have found it
Cares and all
That you show me in the little things you do.
Your wishes and dreams
So close to mine
You have found the arms of the right man.

You make me so happy and satisfied
With thoughts of you as a lover
And a friend
So I praise you for everything
For God has chosen to blend love
Mine to you, yours to mine.
