                          flour , water and lard in a bowl'
                          mixed it  furiously in as you go
                           then put the mixture on a pan
                                then biscuits cook right
                                       for my man,

    That was the staple of life when I grew up but my mother always used buttermilk..She used lard also instead of shortening or vegetable oil..We ate biscuits all three meals and they were for snacks also..Brings back memories from childhood..Sara
