Between the Pages

My life pressed between the pages This blood red rose dry with age Remembering a melody of long ago When time played upon life's stage Oh rose, is your heart steadfast Do your scarlet lips drip with love Can you bless me with your eyes Now that you are gazing from above I kept you close and called your name When the days were dark and gray You will not crumble in my memory Comforted, I know in my heart you stay

Oh my Barbara, this sounds very much like you lost a child? I can surely identify...One never truly heals, only learns to live with it (and not very well in my case)... Beautiful and exquisite poem of grief you have written here - Tim
