Belonging

The rush of the water nearby makes everything awfully clear I know now that I belong here The way my feet feel on the sandy beach Or the way my hair falls everywhere as I push myself on the swing The gentle ring of the birds singing as they pass by How my heart races from the speed of the boat Or the way I simply float on the water’s surface The silent whisper of the breeze blowing through the trees And the mountain air making me feel home here All throughout the year I can’t wait for my summer time to get here

teary-eyed now. Summer- such a sunny time. Why are there any tears at all. Love, Susan
