Awaiting Eternal Life
sun’s bright light descends
reviving a darkened Earth
flowers bask outside her home
angels come today
her body lies still in bed
the transition has been made
palms wave in the breeze
goodbye to a gentle soul
who enters eternal life
blooms droop in dismay
knowing she will not be found
only in heaven she reigns
