Are Designer Sunglasses Worth the Cost?

It seems to me to be quite surprising
Designer sunglasses sales are rising

Are they truly worth the enormous cost
Or is that money actually going to be lost

How much better can they really be
That the ones at Wal-Mart you see?

Most sunglasses by the same company are made
Then each seller puts its logo on a particular shade

Expensive sunglasses may not be better for your eyes
What you spend for a brand name you may despise

Cheap sunglasses block out white light very well
And also block most or all UV rays, experts tell

Sunglasses usually don’t continue in use very long
Scratched, lost--on the disposable list they belong

So if you buy a costly pair every year or two,
You’ll have spent thousands before you’re through

Login to Reply Elton Camp Date: 3/18/2013 2:53:00 PM Until a couple of years ago, I had blindly assumed designer sunglasses are better for the eyes. Our opthamologist said to get some, but the cheapest available as they are all required (In Alabama anyway) to exclude most UV rays as well as excess white light. I'd hate to pay hundreds for a pair and then sit on them! Elton
