Angry Silence
There is an angry silence
In the corner of my soul,
It wasn't there when I was young,
But I feel it as I grow old.
It's a word that was not spoken
In my shyness, slipped away,
I should have made a statement
But silence with me stayed.
I don't like the feeling
That is left within my being,
I try to show my anger
But it's only pain I'm feeling.
I've tried many times
To express my point of view,
Only to be told
You're nothing but a fool.
The only thing that I can say
Is when I need to take a stand,
Silence owner takes my soul
And shows my trembling hands.
