And I Must
My wrenching mind forever caught in pain.
Life bound within the heartaches, which there passed.
As hope became an endless glory, lost,
My dreams soon met their nightmares until dawn.
Misery grew watered by endless floods.
As tears began their cycle once again,
My soul dropped down into a dark despair.
Then, suicide became a dream of choice.
Imaginary hopes of pain relieved
Obsessed my every thought of living free.
Transposed!
Reality was lost within my hurt.
And memories repressed my daily thoughts.
Stagnantly, I cried to God above.
Immobilized, unable to move forth.
Oh, tragedy of love’s unwanted touch.
Wherein is the glory, purity?
Wherein is the mercy, fears relieved?
Wherein is the hope, oh happy life?
Remaining?
And I must!
