Amber Waves of Grain
I see a field of wheat for as far as the eye can go.
The waves created by the wind makes it seem to flow.
There are many square miles of the grain that is golden yellow.
No wonder the writer of the song would realize
the beauty of the spectacle under spacious skies.
Everything here gives me a sense of realization
of how fortunate we are living in this nation.
