Amber Waves of Grain

I see a field of wheat for as far as the eye can go. The waves created by the wind makes it seem to flow. There are many square miles of the grain that is golden yellow. No wonder the writer of the song would realize the beauty of the spectacle under spacious skies. Everything here gives me a sense of realization of how fortunate we are living in this nation.

Lovely descriptions. I never truly knew what the song meant by "spacious skies" until I visited Europe. The sky really IS wider over here. Thanks for sharing this... for the most part, when it comes to America, I just wanna write about all the negativity and corruption. This practice can be unhealthy though... looking to the bright side of things, the reasons you love something... well it's just good for the soul.

This is very nice, Robert, thank you for all the nice and lovely visits in the past. After seeing and hearing the things that go on in this world, gives me reason to pray and never take my true poet friends for granted. Enjoy the greatest people and things in life. Have yourself a wonderful and lovely Mother's Day. Lots of Luv & Hugs *LINDA
