Am I free to love

If I wished for you to be happy and true
Would I truly sacrifice my freedom for you
If you expressed your needs and wants to me
Would I know and understand and be truly free

I see a light that generates from you and I
The spark that sets you in the mind of my eye
And though sometimes things may get to frantic
To search no more is the dream of every romantic

The pain of love can be so strong
This can come from waiting long
Or even thinking somethings wrong
Please let's try and change the song

To share our love we should have trust
Without a corrosion creating rust
Anger is a strange emotion
And can create a big commotion

I could never hurt your body
This would make me just feel shoddy
Hit me and I'd be gone forever
The tie we had would surely sever

If I am yours
And you are mine
Then distant shores
We're sure to find
