This place where thorn bushes don’t flourish
They wait for rain
They dry out in pain
Running blue blood from their core
Scouring sun burns them slowly
They die a senseless death
In the dark

I have no sympathy for thorn bushes, but I never realized they died in such agony. Well done Laura. I truly love a good write and this one is superb. Thanks for providing me the opportunity to experience your poetic genius. Mac

Another write that many will be able to relate with. Sad vivid imagery really paints with words the essence of "alone". Thanks so much for sharing and for taking the time to read and comment on my writes~Mary

It is sad when a person is alone. But you can feel alone in a crowd so loneliness comes in so many forms. Sad but true. Glad you shared with us today. God Bless Phyl
