Allergies Create Showers

Smooth dusty surface covers his bright face. The man in the moon hides beneath the dust, his countenance vague. What if the man has allergies, and a loud sneeze sends dust to space? Gravity is so faint on the moon. Achoo! Moon blew Wow! Look – Dust flies in space. A shower -- meteors -- fall through sky. Sandman kisses make them turn gold -- wee particles once called moon dust From Earth we watch these Bright gifts from “the man,” who sneezes sometimes, casting tiny lights that burn as they fall.

Carolyn, how very creative this poem is. I would have never thought about the man in the moon sneezing and sending out moon dust. Very clever. Best wishes in the contest. Love, Kim
