Allergies Create Showers
Smooth dusty surface
covers his bright face.
The man in the moon
hides beneath the dust,
his countenance vague.
What if the man
has allergies,
and a loud sneeze
sends dust to space?
Gravity
is so faint
on the moon.
Achoo!
Moon blew
Wow!
Look –
Dust flies
in space.
A shower --
meteors --
fall through sky.
Sandman kisses
make them turn gold --
wee particles
once called moon dust
From Earth we watch these
Bright gifts from “the man,”
who sneezes sometimes,
casting tiny lights
that burn as they fall.
