Afternoon Doze

Afternoon Doze I´m looking at a blinking icon on a white screen I have spent an hour in a state of bliss and not feeling the need to do anything other then to enjoy the calm. Afar I hear a cement mixer rumble let it resound it only makes my peace deeper but I´m aware of a dog´s bark outside the front door it is soft bark wants me to open the door and give it a slice of ham or a cuddle. I do that, and the dog walks away….happy. There was a time when I thought I had to be active all the time not allowing calm, thinking It was laziness. A white screen but I could not resist filling it with words to remind me of how good silence can be and how easily it can be disturbed by a ringing phone snapping my mind back to the mundane.

I love it Jan. If Alexander Graham Bell knew what an annoyance he created he would have invented it anyway. Ir's breaking spells is not it's only purpose. The laziest of us can block a lot. love, Kathy
