A Rhyme For Reason
Go ahead,
turn your back...
be stupid,
it's sense you lack.
I tried so hard,
I gave my heart.
No more can I give,
so let us part.
It wasn't even us
that crossed paths,
but you took sides
and now I'm last.
have you forgetten
our strength, our years?
How we shared
our smiles, our tears?
So please think hard,
maybe reconsider.
Why must we
leave this bitter?
At least give me a reason,
why the cold shoulder?
If one can own confusion
I am the beholder.
Perhaps it's time
to refresh our hearts,
afterall, it's not us
that have grown apart.
