A Rainbow For My Day
Ignoring the day
Having it pass on by
Hoping the loss
Will only last
For a short while
Then when all seems
To be lost
There’s a rainbow
Right in front of me
I drive forward
In complete awe
Ignoring the fact
That this day
Has been terrible
It’s now about this
Rainbow
The beauty it holds
The colors so
Superior
I love the joy
I experience
With this sight
It has brightened
Every bone within
My small body
Beauty
Surfaced with color
Intensified my day
From the gloomy
Backward driven
Ugly day
To a life
Worth living
Once again
Power of light
Emulsified through
Droplets of water
A rainbow
For my day
