a puddle

i did one day stumble
down a lane on a puddle
that wanted for nowhere to go
it sat without ripple
right in the middle
of an alley that wanted not for road
not did shadow
cover nor follow
its particular spot
while it did borrow
from what not hollow
could top

What a talented writer you are! Right now I'm feeling like the puddle you describe, sitting without ripple in the middle of an alley that wanted not for road. Amazing work. Where have you been hiding?

This is really lovely, I even think that the lack of pounctuation is justified. the sounds of the words are brilliant. There is a childishness to it that is the strength of the poem. A real pleasure to read!
