A Once Proud African Warrior

A once proud African warrior Shield and spear in hand Tall stood he, A mesmerizer Owner of his own land A once proud African mother Hoe and maize in in her hand Tall stood she, Providing her children with cover Owner of her own land Now a beaten down man Poverty and indignity in his hand Can only dream of being a warrior Slave in his own land Now a beaten down women Hunger and indignity in her hand Can only dream of her own soil Slave in her own land. I hope that a once proud nation, still has hope and free themselves from this iron rope.

So true of our country and its demise. Mr. Mandela set us on the right track... what went wrong?? We have so much to learn and grow still.
