A New Day
She spoilt today
hotly, in haste;
digging her past
only to find
a haunting shadow
billowing behind her.
Living without love;
her salty fountain
reigns and rains
only to refresh
her untold illusion.
The fallen roses
dried at dawn
only to divulge
her needless confusion.
It never lived
and cannot die,
her fiery fantasy
neutralized her reality;
her lusty falacy
magnified her mediocrity.
The dusk distils
to deposit dust
on her book-shelf:
Happily ever after
they both lived...
The thorny thoughts
of dark folktales
echoed within her.
A sincere silence
swiftly crept in;
love cannot be
hot, hasty feelings,
love is never
a porous pit,
fall to rise,
rise to stand,
love is but
a pleasant platform.
Decent doctrine distiled,
she learnt this,
she learnt that...
Love flows aright
starting with her.
She stirred today,
slowly, to taste
with lovely condiments
and soul-lifting seasoning.
A new day
has just begun.
