A Mindless Universe

What is beautiful, what is no Only mind can tell us so Were Intelligence not around, Why should pearls us astound? For what purpose are they here, Unless some soul to endear? That coruscating sunset glow Creates wonder down below. A flower, delicate and wild, Can reduce us to a child Yet mysteries outwith our present ken Will some day orbit within our scope when We will strive our ignorance to dispel In embracing the romance of their spell. Can this innate desire to meaning find Be but a pale reflection of an eternal mind?

Wistful, poetic and tantalizing. We only use a relatively small portion of our brain. Perhaps one day we will learn to use the whole of our brain and realize our full potential. Then, we might begin to really understand the wonders of the cosmos. A good, thought-provoking write. Regards, Robert.
