A LONG Night

Poor Barbara was up most of the night
A limerick she was trying to write
Wrote more than eleven
They stunk to high heaven
By morning she still hadn't seen the light

A limerick about writing limericks!...Only you could have come up with something like THAT my friend and I wouldn't mind seeing the other eleven plus too (Bet they didn't stink either) Congrats - Tim

this is REALLY quite good. Even the last line has a funny meaning. It's morning and she still can't see the light. I would have given this one a first place probably!! Congrats for your win.

i know how you feel. limericks are deceptive - they look like they should be so easy! still, you've come up with a good one...

Ha ha, sorry, should I be laughing? The poem is definitely funny but I do sympathize with the writer. And it definitely turned out to be a great Limerick. Nice work Barbara!
