'a Listener's Ear'

I can pretend that I walked in your shoes but that is not what you want. You want someone to listen, not necessarily give advice but just be a shoulder I couldn't see it at that moment now that I need a listener's ear I get your need back then. In a nutshell, I can finally say I walked in your shoes but not with the same worries you had, I can identify more with your need for a shoulder to lean on then the advice we so readily give or get -

Ah, this is such a fact my friend! I definitely have been there and done that...as we probably all have! The listener plays a huge role in a relationship or a friendship! That person hears whats being said and does not judge or give advice but merely listens! That is what the speaker wants! You have written an excellent poem Wilma, I really enjoyed the incredible piece, Great Work!!

Very well written Wilma sometimes that is the hardest thing to do and yet the most needed. I read once A closed mouth gathers no moss, it also does not give unnecessary advice, just a listening ear. xx
