A Lavender Day
A Lavender Day
Lilacs and lavender bouquets held in a tiny hand
Blue and yellow striped dresses playing in the sand
Magic moments to share on a bright sunny day
Merry-go-round spinning dreams in every way
Blue overalls on young boys with muddy faces
Girls with yellow dresses who like their pretty laces
Gentle rain falling yet not washing away the fun
Here comes the teacher, and out comes the sun
Little bonnets worn carefully to mask out the sun
Galoshes squeak as the boys laugh and try to run
Watermelon days with so much to do
God planned this day just for me and you
