A Foolish Paradise

Life isn't easy
When your being wrong
To believe in illusions
And claiming that you own

Self denial is the
Cruelest game
Isn't it a tragity
When the truth is a shame

The things that you want
May not want you
And it really doesn't help
To pretend that they do

Making excuses when you
Should heed the warning
Standing in waiting
Is the worst kind of longing

People can see that
Sad is pain
Finding a loss
When you expected gain

Facing the truth
While love tells its lies
Just who to believe
Isn't hard for the wise

Letting go while
The self holds on
Requires endurance
While its damage is done

A time to heal
A time to move on
Time has revieled
Another way to be strong

Very wise words penned my friend, letting go while the self holds on, if we lose ourselves in the process of finding someone then it is utterly self-destructive, enjoyed your verse xxx
