A Fiery Feeling
A fiery feeling potent to lock my lips
came in waves of atomic, silent scream;
as his vocal cloud decends, my sky drips.
A twist of sagacity and daydream
reverberates where passion lived and died
...we now reside ashore a bitter stream.
Love is lost, shadows of hatred betide,
this near death cannot kill what cannot die;
my hope swirls beyond the unfolding tide.
On a twilight, I raised a holy cry,
asking God to make the rare rainbow ring
again before the burning candles die.
Once upon a dawn, I felt his warm arms
burnish my skin and replaced my alarm.
