A Dark Mind

Hear the black wings of night Across the moon their flight The heart a lonely place With darkness demons fight Hidden corners of my mind No refuge can I find Voices in my ears accuse Reaching out as if I'm blind No one seems to hear me From my cries they always flee The raven's beak tears my flesh With my death, one last plea Hear the words I can not speak I did not chose this path so bleak My mind is not in my control A bit of understanding is all I seek

Wow, someone fighting against their own mind and faced with so little understanding from others and probably themselves. Beautiful and well written.
