A Caterpillar Could
A Caterpillar Could
A Caterpillar could very calmly walk
Up to the top of some green stalk;
It was like being on a big quest
For leaves on top tasting the best.
On his body many legs can be found
Which never will make a single sound;
You can't hear when it is eating;
Teeth softly on leaves now are meeting.
Then a miracle did take place one day
The caterpillar had gone far away;
In its place our gracious God brings
A butterfly with bright, shiny wings.
Days do go by and continue on
And pretty soon winter has gone
God lets all life come back again
From last year where it once had been.
