A Sun Tree

I Saw A Tree Shine In The Late Afternoon Sun It Was Lit-Up By The Light Cast Therefrom It Stood In The Path of One Slanting Sun-Ray & Spread Limbs & Leaves To Dare Fire To Play All The Other Trees Stood Out of The Picture As Grass Bowed Down & As Breezes Whispered And The Sky Deepened Blue To Frame The Sight of The Stature of That Tree, Lit By That Light It Reminded Me of That Famed Line of Poetry By The Poet Alfred Joyce Kilmer, The Literary Because I Think That "I" Shall Never See Any of My Poems As Lovely As That Tree ... This poem is from one of my visual memory files (and the tree was so lovely as it stood there in the late, late afternoon sun, against a dark, blue, cloudless sky that it was mesmerizing) ...
