~ Cinderella ~

Glancing up for a moment

From within the parties crowd

The first time, that I had ever beheld

Her alluring blue eyes, azure

When everything stood still....

Frozen, in slow motion

As they all disappeared

A meeting of destinies paths

That were always meant to be

Brought together, for all, of eternity

Encased in a dream....

That would spell our lives

With no words which were spoken

These souls, that had touched

Passing the spectrums, of space and life

A love that was born

Long, before there was light....

Fate had brought her smile

As I gazed upon her glowing face

Yet never had I known

Such a wonder as this place

Silence had fallen....

Upon this Halloweens night

For so beautiful she was

Pretty, with her painted whiskers

Adorned, as a precious kitty cat

And I as a prince

Who was dressed in red

Taking the flower, from upon my vest

As I slowly glided across the room

It was my heart, that I held, within my hand

My soul....

While I breathed, inside her breath

Of tomorrows forever, I knew

When I first touched her hand

A kiss that had waited

For a thousand years....

Igniting, a prism of colors

Amid a now, fading, and colorless crowd

The night, when time stood still

For a young man, who had finally found

Dear John, this is such a beautiful poem. Thank you for sharing it. I am starting to come into the light again after the many days of darkness that my depression brings, at times. I tend to forget that there is still beauty in this world to discover and behold. I thought these passages would be appropriate: Sons 1:2 & 1 Cor 13. With love, Robin

Oh, be still my beating heart! This was so beautiful!!! I know that feeling and have written it's truth before, of meeting someone for the first time, yet knowing you have known them for all eternity - nothing quite like that, is there? Well done! Love Kristin
