That each child would be more aware, What Christmas is truly about. It shouldn't be just bows and ribbons, On gifts that make them shout. It shouldn't be a story of Santa, Decked out in most every strip mall. That enters down the chimney, Bringing presents to one and all. It shouldn't merely be a gathering, Randomly seated on Christmas morn, Exchanging gifts and idly chatting, Thinking little that Jesus was born.
