Taketh Poems

God Giveth and God Taketh Away

My mother bathes her mother’s feet.
She kneels in quiet reverence,
Raising the one who raised her.
Hands cupping water as if it were holy.
Her hands speak a language older than words.
The language spoken by those who had not yet formed their own speech-

love, poured out in gesture.

My mother is light in shadowed rooms,
She moves like mercy,
She gives

And Taketh Away

And Taketh Away

Locked in a realm undefined and
Unimaginable to the onlookers through
The lens of a mechanical being with
An intelligence and compassion that
Exceeds that of our so-called leaders
Of the “free world” purchased with
The blood, sweat, and tears of those
Who could not qualify for the giveaways
Because their names could not be sold
For profit and gain in the

Taketh Me Away

I used to feel so warm next to you,
As I await my peaceful sleep to come.
I would lay my head on your chest,
Cause I knew that’s where your love came from.
I’d tell you I love you,
I’d pull you closer to me…
Cause with you and only you,
Is where I wanted to be.
But then things started to

Whom Serves...Whom Taketh Away

Imagination's ingenuity
ushered forth from minds acuity
creations utility which flows fluidly
unhampered by ungracious cruelty

A worm of earth produces role
lower organism such as mole
without the tree provideth air
do we as human dare to care

Nature provides for all on earth
our mutual response to each in worth
despondant are those whom dominate
believing nature to serve which they create

The highest organism

Giveth Yet Taketh Away

Giveth yet Taketh Away.

She created being for me

young meant lucky in that

overnight she admittedly disappeared

without a fight and no rapacious thoughts

Hidden away in the hills eloping with the free

mammoth conversions taken aboard

as she climbed, surfacing and

conforming unyielding for an eternity of reasons

Crying out, craving representation of

a part of the source

knowing somewhat

God Giveth and Taketh

A old lady sits on her porch, stairing from her rocking chair
This has been here resting spot for the last tweenty or thirty years
Watching her world dramaticlly change
From loving familys and neighbors
To drug dealers, hoodlums, and colored rag carring gangs
First and last names are replaced by gang names
She cries on the many day that she
