My choice crafts
between the two R.
U
M
I'
S;
"The Rubs of Life" and "The Loves of Life"
The finest threads
between
the two quotes
wherein, daily challenges were met at any
hour, --and more within said hour, bearing
variable measures of satisfaction that were
relayed to me via the immediacy of spoken
words, or via letters of written words, both
hundreds, and also, thousands of miles apart
having two concurrent employers.
Those fits
of idiosyncrasies
that were excised from those
high-powered individuals of government,
and of industry,
and of wealth,
and of public notoriety;
all affected my rhythmic heartbeat
to harmonize moments,
whereby,
it left none to note that it is exiting into the void ...
such was my life's work,
and my home life, as well ...
to say that it was less hectic,
--my nose would grow a foot.
I find myself heading in and going out,
then again, something goes amiss,
something unplanned,
a loss of direction
which way is which
I must be in control
as an anticipant
I conclude chapters and episodes
long 'ere the tale started.
Then something in my head kicks in
an unmentionable test of my intellect
that went dark decades ago ...
then the mystery somehow unravels
another day is saved ...
but was it really
all that ...
"I know Mom,
it wasn't all that,
--Thank God."
