I FEAR FOR MYANMAR

I had slept in peace
but woke to echoes of gunfire
the kind that doesn’t come from enemies
but from brothers turned into rivals.

It spills like crude oil in rivers
like wildfire tearing through dry hopes
leaving behind nothing
but smoke and dust where life once stood.

I fear for Myanmar
a nation drowning in its own reflection
chasing power like it’s oxygen
believing dominance

This must be Hell

Myanmar a place far away 
Where the men in charge
Executed the ex-Pm and 
Several other ex-men
I read this and found it disturbing. 
How easy it is to sign a death warrant, 
Dispose of the rubbish, 
Destroy families with the stroke of pen. 
How cheap is life? 
Yet no sleep is lost.

My heart, torn and shattered,
Yells at tyrants, a dire plea,
Yet, the torture remains unbothered,
No one hears my desperate plea.

Fiery anger burns within my soul,
Against murderers of democracy,
Arrogance and firepower take control,
Myanmar faces grave atrocity.

Those who raise their voice, beware,
For they may lie dead on the ground,
Someone must make this choice, to dare,
Till justice's echoes resound.

Sad when human life become intolerable,
inhumane,
nauseating,
heartbreaking, 
kids deliberately taken from their parents,
left to fend for their sustenance,
begging and pleading,
countless in numbers to be individualized.

A boy's little fingers stretched out for compassion,
but find none.
Never in a million years would his mother let this be,
but she was executed for her beliefs.
