Willie the Bee

Hello. I am Willie the bee. You probably don't like me, but it's okay; you're not alone. You may think that I am a 'stinger' and love to hurt people, but stinging is my only defense against humans that aggravate. I am often around your home, and I've come today like a drone. I would love to have a few words with you if you'd set aside your phone. You must understand that there's much more to me than zigging and zagging. Sure, I like to duck and dive; to zoom in and out, but I also keep very busy making honey and pollinating. You're familiar with the phrase, 'Busy as a bee'. That's me. Everyone must realize that there's more at stake than honey. I do my best to help feed the world, but it's getting harder. I must inform you that the bee population is decreasing, And if that trend continues, essential pollination by us will also decrease. I'm here today to also remind you of the rising tide of inflation that's driving up the cost of food. While there's still time my friend, there are huge challenges that we face. Therefore, I would beg of you to be more mindful of the foods you waste. We are all in this together for the survival of the of every species, including the whole human race. I'm not bragging, but without me, you would have a food crisis. I'm not looking for praise or honor, but a little more respect is due.
