When the World Was Silent

It roared deep in my heart
It thundered in my being
The pain of rejection scratched my soul and made a grating sound
All around the world was silent
I screamed out within
I looked for a reason, I asked around
I wanted to know, no, I needed to know
The pain was deep rooted
The feeling of going from something to nothingness
Just like death or even worse for in death you do not know
The world was unaware and in bliss
Sorrow loomed in my heart and I screamed.
Broken no! Let's be bent
Let's reconsider, "compromise, I pleaded"
I waited and waited and waited
An answer never came
The feeling of uselessness within
The silence around
The reverberation of hurt
The dawn of loneliness arose with a large and gloomy cloak
And darkness sat at the door of my being
Waiting for the light
Waiting for the lamp to return
"It'll shine again", I heard.
And hoped.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Meanwhile, I greet you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.
