When Magic Was Seen
Remember when we sat as family
before you named us monsters
fear us from the shadows
we use to hide from you
unicorns were meant to be
glad they are gone
look how you treated horses
heart broken in ragged shards of glass
Fairies seen rarely
Leprechauns gone
note to wizards
our swords was mightier
Magic was your masterpiece
you just stopped seeing it
Maids of mer ripped beneath a rotor drive
The last dragon turned his heart to stone
so he wouldn't feel your sadness
We are the monsters
but you became the horror
