What Do You Do When That Last Straw Breaks Your Back
When in that hospital bed, day after day
With all the intrusions that got in the way
One more therapist coming into my room
Or a doctor arrived spreading facts of gloom.
Tho the nurses were kind, they kept charging in
From morning thu night just as sleep would begin
So, one day I’d had enough, and I let out a shout
I ask the head nurse, “Please keep everyone out”
I need to be left alone, have a good cry
To ask God, “Why me”, then on Him I’d rely
After a good night’s sleep, hopelessness was gone
And with renewed purpose, knew I could move on.
What do you do when that last straw breaks your back?
You get out of bed, and get yourself back on track!
