Author's Notes: This poem, was sure a pleasure with great grace "we our souls will spend our time repenting," is a thought-provoking piece co-authored by Liam McDaid, Michael Clarke, and me. This poem does relate somewhat to an earlier poem I wrote on October 16th this year entitled: "A World on Fire," which touches on a few of the same themes covered in this work. Liam, Mike, and I took more of an ethereal approach (good vs. evil) here with this write, touching on the issue of greed worldwide and the fact mankind is currently chartered on a course (with related issues like pollution, nuclear proliferation, global warming, terrorism, tyranny, starvation, war etc.) that doesn't augur well for human society in the long run. I know that my co-authors and I hope you will find this write and its particular message to be of interest. (Gary Bateman - December 4, 2014) (Quatrain unrhymed poetic format)
