To Contradict

Across land
across sea,
my heart seems to be.

Ignoring lies
ignoring truth,
thoughts turn to you.

Racing time
racing heart,
hoping to be a part.

Lights on
lights off,
thinking of you, not enough.

Heart open
heart closed,
him I want the most.
