Dr. Zebediah Killgrave, male, human species, 5'11', normal weight.
born in Rejeka, Croatia, charismatic, a physician turned international spy.
On a mission to infiltrate a chemical factory, he is doused with an unknown
chemical (pheromones) that turns his hair, eyes, and skin purple.
He soon realizes that he has the ability to control people with his mind and
becomes a skilled manipulator, with a high level of intellect, mind
control ability and his own life regeneration. A cruel man and sex predator,
using his mind to seduce women, father of many purple children. A fictional Marvel comic character, with deluded fantasies to take over the world.
A supervillian.
He was imprisoned in a special cell to dampen his powers but escapes,
going to San Francisco to build a criminal enterprise but Daredevil topples
it after two years. In many comics he faces off with the superheroes
including Moon Knight. In one comic he enslaves an entire city. Another
time he uses his mind control to get people to rob banks for him. Even
to kill people for him. And gets many of the supervillians to help him
in his criminal activities. Always thinking of ways to control the world.
Moon Knight used ear plugs so he could not hear The Purple Man's
commands and defeated him, I read.
In Marvel Team Up Annual #14, The Purple Man uses mind control to
manipulate Spiderman to hang from a lamp post and recite Shakespeare
and then sing Elvis Costello songs. In this comic the Kingpin is after The
Purple Man for derailing his multi-million dollar heroin deal. I find his
interactions with the character Jessica Jones, his obsession so interesting,
he holds her for eight months with his mind control to do his dirty work.
I read he has menacing voice when he verbally controls others.
When he walks among people they comment with things like. Is that spray
paint? Is that your actual color all over? Look at that dude! Oh my God!
I heard this guy can make you do or say whatever whim floats through his
abnormal brain and he has no moral center! Don't let him get close to you!
Everyone is a puppet to him, but he has to look you in the eyes! He holds
you captive with the power of his suggestion!
Meanwhile, in a secret underground safe house Jessica Jones, former
superhero, now the owner of Alias Investigations is hiding with her child
from The Purple Man. He had used his persuasive powers to destroy
Jessica's life, but after eight months of making her do his dirty work, even murder. Jessica was able to overcome his control and defeat him and he
was taken into custody. But, not anymore!
He takes control of her child, Danielle, so Jessica decides its time to face
him. She allows him to find her safe house, listens to his charming talk
and lies. He talks and talks and smiles but she does not answer, he babbles on and on until suddenly he is shot in the chest and is dead on the floor.
Her friends send her a cell phone message. Did we get him? Then, when
she looks all that's left is his purple blood and a whisper, come to me
Jessica, you belong to me! He is still out there . . .
His purple children at some point turn against him and want to kill him,
they push him in front of a train and he is hit and killed. His corpse is taken
to the morgue but his healing abilities bring him back to life (can he be killed?) so, he is still alive . . . and out there
