Pines release their yellow pollen
Gold coats all surfaces
Unaware of the freshly grave dug
Sadness family faces

A lovely spring day for some gathered
Rain clouds for others there
Standing side by side each person
Of emotions unaware

Yellow swallowtail butterfly
Floats 'pon spring's breeze
A pleasant surprise on this day
Graces the grave with ease

New life expressed through its soft flight
Yellow, bright, and sunny
Much like the deceased's pleasant life
She lived quiet and homey

A7. Beauty and sadness are not strangers. We often think how sad something so beautiful has to die but imagine earth if nothing died. This is a gem that shines for many reasons, not the least of which is its message, even in death life carries forth.. Bravoooooooooo!!!!

The freshness of life and sting of death are well represented in your words and comes out well in your poem as they adorn the page with their starkness of truth and sadness. Emile.
