The Boatman's Song 15/ Many

The Boatman’s Song 15/Many She decided to wait to hear his songs, while sitting invisibly with Tarang* On the other corner of the boat without disturbing or touching any one Who may come on the boat, as a passenger of the boatman After taking few passengers on the boat, The boatman moved towards the other end of the river For which both Urveshi and Tarang were waiting, While sitting invisibly, but impatiently on his boat The moment boatman started rowing the boat A sound of great enchanting also rose from his throat Floating in the air like a melody Urveshi had never heard before Sound waves dipped in honey, had an enchanting effect on her It started thrilling the strings of her heart sleeping Veena* She felt as if she was floating in the sea of joy and pleasure And a soothing music, as the blessing of God was raining on her Wetting her entire body, mind and heart and even her soul very deep, So deep was music that she could not measure its depths But she could feel the presence of something very sublime Boatman’s music was definitely blessed by the Goddess Saraswati* As she only can play the Veena* of human hearts so well, That by hearing only one feels, to be in heaven, not on earth To feel its beauty only, humans can wait and wait for many a life But very few get a chance, to feel His presence in such a way Which the God shows to humans, sometimes through its own ways Like here it was raining, in the melody of the boatman’s song Which was floating in the unpolluted air, While touching the nectar like water, flowing in the river Ganges In the serene calm and quietness, except the sound of oars and the river Which too started moving slowly, to listen the music which was raining Ravindra to continue……….
