The Boatman's Song 14/ Many

The Boatman’s Song 14/Many The boatman kept waiting everyday With the hope that she would definitely come any day Only the charming image of her sweet face, And the melody of her voice by which, she uttered those lovely few words Were lying like a treasure in his heart and mind, inspiring him to sing Some of those sweetest ever love songs, while rowing the boat Since then his songs become more sad and sweeter As his voice started coming from his heart depths more deeper The boatman kept on waiting for his love to return But the time just passed on and passed on, without any sign of her Urveshi’s arrival on earth At such a time when the Boatman was waiting for his love Urveshi* with her nymph friend Tarang* reached The river Ganges on earth Where on the bank of the river, she found the boatman was waiting While on way to earth her friend Tarang had already briefed her The fact about the love of the boatman with a Princess Knowing well that this would only deeply upset Urveshi* Although she was not yet in actual love with the boatman But had a deep appreciation and love like feelings for his melodies And even for the boatman, who was like a heavenly God on earth She was not sure whether it was love or her infatuation or only A deep appreciation for Music, which she holds always above her Although the purpose of her visit was to listen the songs of the boatman But somewhere in her heart unknowingly Urveshi has started loving the boatman This was not hidden to her dear friend Tarang* Who knew how to read the feelings of anyone’s heart and mind* Including Urveshi, who was her Princess charming of heaven now on earth But her love was not for passion and lust, but for his soft and sweet melodies Which had touched her heart, some where very deep Ravindra to continue………..
