The Sailor Moon
SAILOR MOON
Sailor moon is rising proud
‘Neath her sky of stars and cloud
A silvery moonlit trail she sends
To help us find the far seas’ ends
Then scudding fast from cloud to cloud,
She’ll wait behind each darkening shroud,
Light our craft, our bobbing cork,
And watch our small boat like a hawk.
Our silver ropes' lulling song -
The creamy sails drink in her strong
Steady shine - and all the crew -
Oh, Jason, Franklin - they all knew
The creamy foam, the prow going home
From passage icy up to Nome,
Adieu the Sirens of Anthemusa.
Sleepless dolphin lead their cruiser.
The creamy wake behind the stern
Shows her where we made a turn
Like Bounty, Santa Maria, Argo,
Bearing only her moonlight cargo.
*~~~~~~~Jason in the Odessy/Explorer Franklin died 1847 Arctic Canada
* ~~~ ~~~Nome = town in Alaska
* ~~~~~~the Sirens lived on island Anthemusa
* ~~~ ~~~Bounty, etc. = ships of Bligh, Columbus and Jason
