Squeals of Conflict
Monsoon anger
blood-tears abated
Waters calmed
by sheathed samurai
slanted palms
A poor, old man’s wisdom
saved a village
Pure rice patty knowledge
was sown
in the season of serene
Kosher kismet karma ...
Marauding field mice were feted
in the rune temple of Dharma
Squeals of peaceful conquest —
music, dancing and wine
Conflict avoided by tongue divine;
swollen prayer sobs,
evaporated liberty rising to the heavens
River souls delivered
to serve their new masters
in unfettered captivity
A slack, muddy chain
attached to the low-tide life mundane
Toiling with a submerged heart mightily
Forced prone labor
harvesting precious fruits for free
As atmospheric squeals of conflict
increases violently gradually
Whereupon the killing fields,
the monsoon rain falls suddenly
