Siren
I watched as you lay there.
Unbothered as the ocean reached for you,
Kissed your skin,
Held your hair,
Soothed your thoughts.
Your eyes were the color of sea glass, vibrant and ever-changing.
If I left, would you sink?
Would you shimmer away like the divine?
Or would you float like the sea foam that surrounds the stars?
Forever your figure drowns me in my sleep,
You capture my attention just as the gulls on the cliffs do,
Your words were muffled then, but now I hear them like a song;
“The sea calls to you, answer it.”
