shopping no longer appeals to me

I used to spend an average of sixty dollars a day at a store.
It did not matter what I bought, as long as I purchased something.
I would leave the clerks cheering, I was their job security.

Unsure when I outgrew this habit, probably when I began working.
When you are at a job eight hours a day, you want to be home.
I could not wait to put on my nightgown and relax.

Thus, working not only gave me money.
But it saved me money.
I realized that now.

And to my vast astonishment,
I no longer have a shopping fixation.
what used to appeal to me is not appealing in the least now.
I spend all of my money on dogs, their treats and their toys.
