Sewn My Eyes
Fingertips numb and air slows my pulse,
life seems to be never-ending
screams and sulk
in shades of obsidian.
My feet tremble as I dared to face the hidden beasts
lurking and trailing around my existence.
Breath staggerly repeats,
lungs congested with mistreatment.
The touch of his face petrified every nerve in my body.
I couldn't trust his charm,
But yet he was oddly
warm.
Unlike the fires that have burnt my skin to bone.
His touch caring,
and his heart drowned out the shrieks from my tone.
He was understanding...
He:
unlike the hasty mind,
slowly on his chest I lied.
Soon began to carefully sew my eyes.
I had seen all of my past perish
into a vague dream.
I noticed that my flesh was treated and the world had gone silent...
He heard only me.
My words meant something
to him...
I became something
because of him.
How could one so afraid
and chained
become so loved when unclaimed
and mercifully praised?
What have I deserved...
Nothing.
Yet he returns,
with smiles brightly and I feel free
He transformed me divinely
into worthy parts.
And divided
our hearts.
Now we will never be torn against
the fearful strife.
No matter what life
impersonates.
